| QUOTE OF [SOME] DAY:
Person A: Si [ano] tsaka si [ano], naging sila diba, or something? Person B&C, simultaneously: Something.
Tsk tsk, love and relationships. Oh, it's complicated.
Una sa lahat, I hate myself. I was writing this reaallly reaaaalllly long entry and then I closed Firefox. What the hell, Helenay. Haha. Ganun yata talaga pag may social life, di makapagblog. Haha.
Where I have been this past few days, I don't even remember very much anymore. Ang alam ko lang, it was mostly comprised of pig-outs. Eew. Sinimulan kasi to ni Joy, nang bigla na lang akong sunduin one depressing rainy day at sinabi saking "Mar kain tayo". Nag-stress/depression-induced binge eating kami sa Pizza Hut, and I tell you, pig-out session talaga. Kain kami nang kain dun for three hours and we weren't aware how much we were eating until we asked for the bill... "Your bill is 800, maam." I mean, imagine? It was just Pizza Hut and it was just the two of us and we had to pay 800. Oh well. Maybe it's just because of Joy. Tuwing kasama ko kaya siya napapalamon ako. Hahaha.
Pero okay lang. Yung pagkain-kain sa labas, parang naging International Pig-Out Marathon. Kahapon Italian, ngayon Chinese, mamaya Japanese, bukas Mongolian, sa susunod na araw French, tapos Vietnamese, Indonesian, magiging Scottish tapos Finnish tapos Rwandan at Swazilander (is there such thing as Swazilander???). Kaya lagi na lang akong kumakain -- from the never-ending family dinners, to late birthday blow-outs, to random fulfillments of cravings, and to, just recently, high school council reunion meetings... to more family dinners, impulsive tara-kain-tayo-somewhere phenomena and wala-lang-gutom-lang-ako lamon days, di na ko natapos kakanguya.
Hindi man lang nga ako makakanta ng isang buong kanta to save my life. More often than not, maligaya na ako sa isang linya lang. At hindi kasi ako kumakanta kapag may microphone due to my unlikely shyness. Hahaha. Pero iba tong Red Box. Sa 19 years++ ng buhay ko, 2nd time pa lang talaga to na kumanta ako sa videoke (at almost nagwild!). It might be the enclosed space, or whatever. Basta ang alam ko, Red Box na ang favorite place ko in the world next to my bed. Shet, naadik ako. Mamaya nga pupunta ulit kaming Red Box eh =)
Papalagpasin ba naman namin si Roselle Nava? Eh bakit nga ba kasi mahal kita?

Three's a crowd, kaya sinama na lang namin si Keps. Hahaha.
HAHA. Not for the world to see.

| The best part about family gatherings is, well, the gathering. The worst part would be discovering that your relatives read your blog, but here's an entry nonetheless.
April 18-19 was Bicol weekend. It was kinda stressful because it hasn't been one week then since we went to Bicol, then there we were again. Travel hours reach 12 hours when we're extremely out of luck, but a lucky 7-hour trip is still a pain in the ass.
So anyway, what is up in Bicol, you may ask? Well, it was my lolo's 90th birthday! I didn't want to go at first really, but you know what happened eventually. Like a lot of other people who went to the event, we were under the assumption "baka last [birthday] na 'to." Very cruel family members, yes we are. So ta-daaa!!!! People-filled it was.
This lolo is Itay Pedro, my father's father. To be really honest, this isn't the side of the family I'm fond of. They're not really the group of people I hang out a lot with, but it's probably because I never really try. And also because it's a really big family. My dad has 13 siblings, though 3 of them are dead already, which makes them 11. But still, they are still eleven, and eleven is about 3 times as much as my other grandparents' children. Which makes this side of the family at least 3 times bigger than the other one, hence everyone is more or less hardly remembered.
Anyway, something about my lolo besides having 14 children: he's a war veteran. He's actually one of the Filipino guerillas who fought against the Japanese during the second World War. He was there in the real actual deadly Death March! You know, the Death March is called Death March for a reason, and if you survived it, it's just pure awesomeness!!! [Greetings to Jack Black ] And you know when the Japanese soldiers really liked randomly slashing Filipinos using their bayonets or something, my lolo was one of their victims. And it's totally cool because he still has the marks of the bayonet wound somewhere around his belly. He's practically a living legend. Pure awesomeness.
So the party was surprisingly fun -- not that I expected it to be not fun, but I didn't expect myself to have fun. There's a difference. It was nice to see long lost cousins and nephews and nieces who happen to be older than me but yeah, what the hell. I enjoyed learning how my grandparents were like as parents through the short speeches of some sort that my uncles and aunts gave (not all 11of them, btw!). My lolo is so scary! I wouldn't want him as a dad even in the coming lifetimes of my soul; he was one freaking hell of a dictator dad. But I think that's cool as long as I'm not his child hahaha And it's really funny when some person is saying something to him and then he ends up falling asleep or suddenly is gone to wiwi break.
Amazing thing: we were all wearing the same shirt. I would want to have my face printed in a shirt too and have people wear it on my birthday. That would be really, really fabulous.
Epic Shirt 'Cause in Bicol, that's the way they like it.
Itay blowing the candle! It's amazing that he was still able to release enough air for this, I thought he was too old for that. Xs: I took this picture, I think it's really nice
L-R: My lolo's brother or something-I'm not sure-it's complicated, my father, and my lolo. or R-L: the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly; at least according to my dad.
Some sort of family picture :3
They call us the 1st generation grandchildren, but I don't understand what 2nd degree would be. But I think that's jut half of us, we split up since we're a really large bunch. I'm not even entirely sure who that kid beside me is, sorry kid.
Why I'm never decent in the presence of food - it's The Felizmenio Way. Hahahaha

| Bago ang lahat, Moving on...
I haven't got the time to blog lately, for some reason. Medyo nakakalungkot, but what can I do. I'm not so much into the Internet lately, besides the perpetual torrent downloads.
April 17 was supposedly RedBox night (at happy birthday Darell Navaja :D). Hindi siguro kasing fun kung kumpleto at nasa RedBox kami, pero well, we were sober. If you know what I mean.
Nothing much has changed. Or maybe much has changed, I just can't seem to put my hands into them. At marami pang iba. (O see, I can't put my hands into them!)
Camwhoring na nga lang pag-usapan natin. Hahaha. Kakainis. With Iven around, ang pangit lang talaga namin lagi. Oh well. Hahaha. Photospam ahead.

E yung namiss ko kayo! :) Sana next time apat na kami sa pictures! Kim Lagunilla, where art thou.

| I'm now officially on vacation. Yay.
Kasi yung sem break, well BREAK talaga siya. In all fairness to me ay napromote naman ako into a yellow belter, pero after that wala nang nangyari sakin.
Anyway. The first two days of my summer "vacation" have been spent reuniting with old friends. Wala naman akong galit sa mga mukha nila (hi friends) pero siyempre it's always nice to see old friends for old times' sake.
Day 1 is Tengga Day. Last sem, nagdramarama kami sa Shakey's Katips over lunch bilang innjan kami ni Carlo.
Kaya pig-out session talaga. Pagkakain namin sa Yellow Cab, for some reason, nagpunta pa kaming KFC. Kaya pig-out session talaga! Nakita pa namin si Pia na nagpapakadiligent. After all these months, noon lang kami nakapag-usap ni Pia! Ang okay kasi sa dalawang to, lahat ng bagay pwedeng pag-usapan - from gossip, to chick flicks, academics, and politics.
Day 2 is Tawa Day. Nagkita kami ni Mia at Che-Che a little after luch to do something for another friend, tapos nagpasama ako sa mga bagay na kailangan kong gawin, na actually, hindi ko naman pinagtagumpayan. Hahaha.
Uy kumusta na pala si *insert name of batchmate here*? Ganito, ganyan, blah blah. Eh diba dati, ganito ganyan blah blah. Oo nga blah blah blah. ...
Naniniwala akong this is a nice start to my summer, kahit diyan-diyan lang naman siya naganap. Haha e bat ba nakakatamad pang magpakalayu-layo and besides may summer reg pa!!! Pero dahil last summer vacation ko na bilang undergrad *CRY*, I promise to make whatever I can make out of it. So summer, here I cooooooooome!!!!!
P.S. Pictures to follow. I hope!

| So I'm three weeks away from officially ending school. Though technically, that would be just ending the school year, because barely a week after my last day would be the start of registration for the summer term so there will be school once more. I, however, might, more or less, not enroll during the summer term, so it would be fairly accurate for me to say that three weeks from now, school will temporarily halt. Though again, yes, I will be serving for the registrar during the summer registration, that's not exactly school. It's really work -- which happens in school. But that still doesn't make it school work, so what's the point. [If anybody was able to follow that train of thought, please tell me].
Anwyay. Since it's the end of the sem again, I wanna talk about... uh, boys. But then my inner voice says, "I'm sorry, talk about what?". So k, never mind. I'm not very good at it and there's no one to talk about anyway.
No, seriously. I have to tell you something. So there's this person, whose identity I conceal by the name Person B. Person B, for those who are unaware, is that boy whom I have had a crazy crush on since last year. He's been the topic of countless blog entries and conversations, online and offline alike... uh, I don't think I need to describe - just think of how crazy you were during your craziest in crush phase and that's probably more or less like it. Well to keep it short, let's just say that he's that one ideal guy who lives in Dreamland but accidentally fell off a well whose other end is a classroom in UP. Cause he's just so perfect for me -- the operative phrase being "for me", since my choice in guys is apparently... tasteless. Well the point is I was so crazy I wanted to marry him. And I got so crazier that I stalked him, albeit on-line only. Heehee. The intensity of the crush was because he seemed so smart. Not the nerdy, geeky sort of smart (no offense to nerds), more like the street smart, witty smart kind. Well, he is. And I still believe in that. I think.
However, working for the university registrar, access to student records, and very strong stalking tendencies is an extremely dangerous combination. So you know what I did. I saw his records (let's just say I didn't look for the records, they were just... lying around) , and they weren't very pleasing. Frankly, I think a better description for his academic records would be, they were very, very disturbing - to the point of disgust, honestly. UGH. I mean, yeah academic records mean shit in the greater scheme of things, but records carry with them a certain impressionistic value. One or two 5's or DRP's or INC's wouldn't have been so bad, but my god, I didn't even have the time to count his bad grades. Imagine. And just imagine how I felt. I stalked this allegedly perfect guy for months, thinking that he's smart, clouded by all my biases, only to know 10 months later that the "smartness" I was so crazy about doesn't exactly hold. So... that's a little sadness on my part. [I could have actually skipped the whole episode had I decided to use my better judgment and not look at his records... but it's kind of a compulsion. And I am sorry for that. If it's any consolation, I don't do that to other students, it's only Person B's student number that I know and I've memorized. Cause I'm obsessed like that.]
Luckily, I have a new crush!!!! This one, I'm sure he's smart. Just that he's a little too quiet and he doesn't possess that magic in word usage and wit that Person B has since he barely speaks anyway. But so far, I have not stalked this person because one of my resolutions in life is to be a little less creepy. And I want it to remain a happy crush. And I'm honestly tired of being creepy, haha. And I don't want to talk a lot about this person because... I don't know. I just don't want to, it seems. I don't know if it it's relevant to the situation but he was born in 1991. I can't figure out how that is relevant, in any case. It just feels strange when I learn that people are born in the 90s even though I myself was born nearly a month before 1990.
And since we're on the smart guy thingy anyway, why don't we talk about really smart guys?? Because SMART IS THE NEW SEXY! So let me tell you about my new favorite American series, The Big Bang Theory!
Created by writer/producers Chuck Lorre (of Two and a Half Men) and Bill Prady (of Gilmore Girls) comes The Big Bang Theory, a sitcom that shows what happens when hyperintelligent roommates/physicists Sheldon and Leonard meet Penny, a beautiful woman moving in next door--and realize they know next to nothing about life outside of the lab. Rounding out the crew are the smarmy Wolowitz, who thinks he's as sexy as he is brainy, and Koothrappali, who suffers from an inability to speak in the presence of a woman. The show distinguishes itself by being unafraid to toss scientific references and technobabble into an otherwise standard sitcom, even employing a physicist to keep things accurate. In doing so, it allows Sheldon and Leonard to do for science what Frasier's Crane brothers did for fine dining, art, and opera. (source: www.tv.com)My favorite character would be Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons), cause he's the ultimate geek! He's a theoretical physicist, stereotypically socially backward, has two Ph.D.'s, an MA, and was accelerated from fifth grade to college! At age 11! Intense! Hahahahaha!
My favorite Sheldon scene: Penny: (ranting about her jerk ex-boyfriend) I lived with him for four years! It was like as long as high school! Sheldon: It took you four years to get through high school? HAHAHAHAHAHA. Sheldon, people normally take four years in high school!! Oh Sheldon, I just love you.
